Hi all! My name is Ken Robinson, but Queen Elizabeth knighted me for my services to education, so you may call me Sir Ken. I was born in and raised in a working class family from England, but now I reside in Los Angeles with my wife and two children. Like I said earlier, I am into education. I am an author, speaker, advisor, professor, teacher and innovator. I like to approach the subject of education differently than many people. Picasso and I share the same idea: We believe all people are born artists, but we are educated out of it. I believe a student could thrive so much more from our educational system if there was a broader curriculum, creative and dynamic teaching, emphasis on individuality, and curiosity from creative teaching.

I believe creativity is as important as any other subject taught in schools. Look at the world around us. Humans made it. We designed it. Do you know the majority of top managers and CEOs of 500 leading companies around Silicone Valley do not have STEM degrees, but rather Arts and Humanities degrees? Similarly, many of these people dropped out of high school and college! They strayed from the "norm!" I believe with the integration of creativity, our education system would be very successful.

Check out my TED video from 2009. It has remained the top watched TED video with around 200 million views. Listen to what I say, and find your creativity to go out and make a positive difference!
